I think it is time that I start looking for a new job. They're taking me for granted and I don't really appreciate it. The pay is crap for what I do 'cause I am young and  "prideful," apparently. Their lives would be a hell of a lot more difficult if I wasn't around. I think it is time that I begin branching out. Perhaps it would be time to go get a part time at the library.

I feel you man.

My job caps out at $9 a hour but they've been stringing me along at $8.50 a hour now for more than a year. They keep telling me I got my raise and I'm still waiting for it to show up... Sick of it. Plus they cut my hours back more often than anyone else it seems... Even though 90% of the time I'm the ONLY ONE who shows up to work.

I'm about just to call in tomorrow and quit.

i agree. there is something to be said for a change of scenery. even if you don't make as much, just weigh out the pros and cons and go with what you really want.

either way, finding a job here in SM (assuming you're here in SM) will help you get a better idea of where you could eventually move to.

there's no harm in looking. you don't HAVE to quit. ;)
